Mike Ruiz’s long list of celebrity clients include The entire cast of Pose, Cardi B, Ruby Rose, Jim Parsons, Kim Kardashian, Katy Perry, Prince, Taraji P Henson, Penn Badgley, Lakeith Stanfield, Kelly Clarkson, Queen Latifah, Adam Lambert, Kelly Rowland, Betty White and the list goes on and on. He’s also gone on direct several music videos for artists such as Kelly Rowland, Vanessa Williams, Erika Jayne and Rupaul and made his feature film directorial debut with the uproarious comedy “StarrBooty” starring Rupaul.

Mike has also appeared frequently on America’s and Canada’s Next Top Model, Rupaul’s Dragrace, along with dozens of other television appearances as an expert in his field.

Mike’s vast experience on both sides of the camera has given him the unique ability to see things from every angle making him an astute creative director.

Mike is most proud of his community service having supported such organizations as The Ali Forney Center, GMHC, The Trevor Project, Housing Works, It Gets Better Campaign, Live Out Loud, Project Angel Food, and GLAAD. Mike also donates much of his free time to helping animals in dire need by raising funds and awareness for pitbull type dogs.

ART Director

Daniel López is a graphic and editorial designer. He attended the Autonomous University of Querétaro, MX, where he recently graduated with a degree in Graphic Design and Visual Communication, and a specialization in Editorial Design. Besides being PhotoBook Magazine’s Junior Art Director, his projects include production and editing for music videos, as well as creating the design for a university magazine. His work is focused on mixing typography and editorial design with fashion.

Beauty Editor

Taylor Houston holds a Bachelor's degree in Apparel Design & Merchandising, with a minor in Digital Marketing, from Appalachian State University. Specializing in fashion and beauty, she crafts insightful articles on the latest industry trends and news. Taylor's work includes interviewing industry leaders, reviewing products, covering new collections, and curating engaging product round-ups. Her deep knowledge of fashion history adds depth to her compelling and informative pieces. With a keen passion for beauty, Taylor brings a fresh and exciting perspective to her writing.

Contributing Sustainable Editor

Kayla Curtis-Evans is a creative writer and sustainability advocate. She is originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, but resided on the West Coast to attend the University of California Santa Barbara, where she just recently graduated with a degree in English and Environmental Studies. She plans to utilize these degrees to spread awareness of environmentalism and eco-conscious decisions, especially when it comes to fashion. Early in her writing career, she worked as a layout editor and writer for a local university newspaper, and She currently holds a role as a writer for PhotoBook Magazine as well as New York based Office Magazine. Her writing area of expertise is sustainable fashion and sustainable lifestyles, but Kayla has written in the areas of music, culture, art, and social media as well. In addition, Kayla is a writer for Juice Inc’s “Incoming!” and she freelance writes on her blog. She hopes to continue building her career in the editorial industry.

Gabrielle Ramos is a graduate of Thomas Jefferson University, with a Bachelor’s in Fashion Design. While studying there, she spent time writing articles for online publications and blogs. Her time spent at her previous jobs and internships focused on a variety of topics in fashion, from lifestyle trends and runway collections, to historical costuming and personal projects. She also spent time creating a six-look womenswear collection for her senior project, featured in Thomas Jefferson University’s Fashion Film and runway show. She is looking forward to furthering her fashion journalism career, at PhotoBook Magazine, and in the fashion industry, particularly in topics pertaining to pop culture, fashion trends, and luxury designers.
